Any supplier can sell you a fridge. What counts is who’s still there when it needs refrigeration spare parts.
It’s Saturday morning. Your display fridge is warm, the shop opens in an hour, and the cabinet is full of stock. In that moment, the price you paid for the unit doesn’t matter at all. What matters is whether anyone picks up the phone, and whether the part you need actually exists in South Africa. That’s why access to refrigeration spare parts should be part of every buying decision.
That’s what after-sales support is about. In commercial refrigeration it isn’t an extra. It’s part of what you’re buying.
Why after-sales matters more in refrigeration
Most equipment in a business can wait a few days for attention. Refrigeration can’t.
- It runs around the clock. Fridges, freezers and cold rooms work 24 hours a day, every day, so wear and tear is constant.
- It protects stock you’ve already paid for. When it stops, your losses start within hours, not days.
- It keeps you compliant. Food has to be held at the right temperature. A failed unit is a food safety problem as well as a money problem.
- It keeps you trading. An empty display fridge means lost sales for every hour it’s out of action.
So when you choose equipment, you’re also choosing who will stand behind it when something goes wrong.
Refrigeration spare parts: the question nobody asks
Most buyers ask about price, size and delivery. Very few ask the question that matters most later: “If a part fails, can I get a replacement?”
Many units on the market are imported with no local parts supply. When a fan motor, thermostat, controller or door seal fails, the owner finds out there’s no replacement available. The choice becomes waiting weeks for a part from overseas, or throwing away a unit that only had one small fault.
A fridge that can’t be repaired is a fridge you have to buy again.
Our promise: refrigeration spare parts for everything we sell
Any product bought at Inacio Refrigeration has spare parts available. If a part isn’t on our shelf, we’ll find it for you. You won’t be left with a unit that can’t be fixed because of one missing component.
Going the extra mile
We’ve been trading from Pretoria West for more than 35 years, and our customers come back because we don’t disappear after the sale. Going the extra mile means:
- Helping you identify the part. Send us a photo of the unit or its model plate on WhatsApp and we’ll work out what you need.
- Tracking down hard-to-find spares. If it isn’t in stock, we use our supplier network to source it rather than telling you it can’t be done.
- Keeping you updated. You’ll know where your part is and when to expect it.
- Giving honest advice. If a repair isn’t worth it, we’ll tell you, and help you choose the right replacement.
For butcheries, bakeries, restaurants, takeaways, coffee shops and spaza shops, that support is often the difference between a bad morning and a lost week.
Before you buy from anyone, ask:
- Do you keep spare parts for this unit, or can you get them?
- Who do I contact if it breaks down, and how do I reach them?
- How long is the warranty, and who honours it?
- Will you still be here in five years when it needs a part?
If the answers are vague, the low price probably comes with a hidden cost.

Frequently asked questions about refrigeration spare parts
Can I get spare parts for a fridge I bought from Inacio Refrigeration?
Yes. Every product bought from us has spare parts available. If a part isn’t in stock, we’ll source it for you through our supplier network.
What refrigeration spare parts fail most often?
The parts that wear out most are the ones that work hardest: fan motors, thermostats, temperature controllers, door seals and gaskets, and, on older units, compressors. Most of these are small, affordable fixes when the part is available.
How do I find out which part I need?
Take a clear photo of the unit’s model plate or sticker, usually inside the door or on the back, and WhatsApp it to us on 067 022 0173. We’ll help you identify the correct part.
Is it worth repairing an old fridge or should I replace it?
It depends on the age of the unit, the fault and the running costs. A failed fan motor or seal is almost always worth fixing. A failed compressor on an old, inefficient unit may not be. We’ll give you an honest answer either way.
Why are spare parts hard to find for cheap imported units?
Many budget units are imported by sellers with no local parts supply or service network. When one component fails, there is nowhere to buy a replacement, so the whole unit has to be replaced.
